The Vale Grocer Veg Boxes

Getting a veg box delivery is a great way of eating seasonally and provides a fab source of inspiration for your weekly meals.  At The Vale Grocer we put a lot of care into planning your seasonal vegetable box, and get great feedback from customers on the variety we manage to provide.

​What’s in the boxes changes with the seasons, but we’ll always give you potatoes, onions and carrots.  We’ve provided a few example boxes below to give you an idea.

​We grow our own vegetables and soft fruit in Prion using environmentally friendly methods and without chemicals, and supplement with organic veg from Organic North. 

 Our veg boxes are always organic, always seasonal. We try to limit plastic and packaging, and reuse as much as we can. More here on how we try to tread lightly.

​When you sign up for a box we need to check we can fit you on the round and then confirm which day we’ll deliver.  Once we know the box size you’d like and your address/directions we will let you know when you’ll get your first box. We’ll also send your first monthly invoice – most customers pay by BACS or set up a standing order.

We ask that you don’t cancel during the first month as the admin involved in adding a new customer costs us time and money. Also it may take you a few weeks to adjust to using a box rather than cooking with vegetables you’ve chosen yourself.

​After the first month, we’ll issue regular monthly invoices by email. You can cancel at any time by emailing us at least 10 days ahead of the box you would like to cancel.
